"Quality instruction through faculty commitment"

When considering a college major and minor, consider where knowledge will be needed after graduation. Regardless of the major, careers likely begin in a private sector business or government organization. Those who start a business or chart a course in medicine, engineering, agriculture, fine or performing arts, merchandising, law, consulting or other areas may decide to attend graduate school, travel internationally, or move into another profession. A major or minor from the College of Business and Global Affairs can provide a solid foundation. The college's main priority is to provide excellent, student-focused education in business disciplines as well as economics, international studies, and political science. Student-faculty interaction is central to this educational process. Moreover, the college emphasizes experiential-learning opportunities, a global outlook, quality graduate instruction, scholarly research, university and professional service, and regional economic development.

The College of Business and Global Affairs is one of five colleges on the campus of The University of Tennessee at Martin. The programs in business are accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) and houses two academic departments: the Department of Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Political Science and the Department of Management, Marketing, and Information Systems. The College of Business and Global Affairs offers a variety of degrees as well as minor fields of study. In addition, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is offered on-site and online.

Two endowed chairs, the Horace and Sara Dunagan Chair of Excellence in Banking and the Tom E. Hendrix Chair of Excellence in Free Enterprise, function within the College of Business and Global Affairs. The Regional Entrepreneurship and Economic Development (REED) Center serves existing and prospective entrepreneurs and supports economic development in rural northwest Tennessee.
