Know all men by these present that I George W. Martin, M. P. Martin and W. H.
Martin of said County of Weakley and State of Tennessee for and in consideration of the sum of five
dollars to me paid, and for divers other good, sufficient and valuable considerations hereunto me moving,
have this day bargained sold, aliened and conveyed unto the Mississippi Central Railroad Company a body
politic and incorporated in the States of Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky now leased and controlled by
the Southern Railroad Association, the following described lot or parcel of ground situated lying and
being in said County of Weakley and State of Tennessee, bounded as follows, to wit: Beginning on a stake
in the south margin of the Nashville and Northwestern Railroad right of way and fifty (50) feet east of
the center line of the Miss. Central Railroad, runs thence south with the East margin of said Miss.
Central R. R. Right of way three hundred (300) feet to a stake, thence East fifty (50) feet to a stake,
thence South fifteen hundred and thirty-five (1535) feet to a stake, thence West crossing the centre line
of the Miss. Central Rail Road at one hundred (100) feet in all West three hundred (300) feet to a stake,
thence North and parallel with line of Miss. Central Rail Road nineteen hundred and nine (1909) feet to a
stake [to] the South margin of the Nashville and Northwestern Rail Road right of way, thence Eastward with
said right of way and across said Miss. Central Rail Road to the beginning, including and excluding the
right of way heretofore granted by me to said Miss. Central R. R. Company, for the purposes, uses and
location of a depot and for no other purpose to be called Frost Depot to have and to hold to the said
Mississippi Central Rail Road Company and assigns forever, together with its appurtenances, estates, title
and interest thereto belonging. We hereby covenant and bind ourselves and our heirs and
representatives to forever warrant and defend the title to said ground and premises against the lawful
claims of all persons whomsoever, and that we are lawfully seized of said parcel of land and have a good
right to sell and convey the same, and that it is unincumbered -
Witness our hand this the 11th day of February 1874 - the interliniation of the words, "now leased and
controlled by the Southern Rail Road Association" was done before signing.
