Are you ready to join the UT Martin Family? Here’s a checklist to help you with your next steps!
The Department of State issues visas at U.S. Embassies and Consulates. The visa is for entry. It allows you to travel to the United States for a specific purpose. Find the U.S. embassy or consulate nearest to you. First, you need to complete this list:
*Note: SEVIS occasionally updates their pricing. Prices listed on this page may not be accurate.
You should make your appointment for your visa interview as soon as possible. We can send you your I-20 by scanned copy.
The visa interview is your opportunity to tell the consulate or embassy officer about your plans while in the United States and what you will do when you have completed your studies. They may ask you for this additional documentation.
If you are granted the visa, please email international@utm.edu and tell us the good news!
We make sure campus living is a positive experience! The UT Martin Office of Housing provides a fully- trained staff of residence hall directors and resident assistants who tend to the needs of residents. Students enrolled with fewer than 45 completed credit hours before the first day of fall classes are required to live on campus. Students living in the Tennessee counties of Weakley, Obion, Gibson, Carroll, or Henry and the Kentucky counties of Fulton, Hickman and Graves have the option to commute to campus.
Directions for Housing Applications can be found here.

“Considering the average tuition fees for international students in different parts of the USA, I would say that UT Martin is more affordable than majority of colleges. ”
