Specific Criteria for Applying to the Young Scholars Academy

  1. Students must currently be in good academic standing in the eleventh or twelfth grade in a West Tennessee high school.
  2. Students must meet The University of Tennessee at Martin undergraduate admission requirements.
  3. Students must be recommended by their high school guidance counselor.
  4. Students must be highly motivated, have demonstrated a high level of accomplishment in areas of academic emphasis, and must be mature enough to participate effectively in a week-long residency program of intensive study.

All students who submit a completed application package on or before the deadline date and who meet the criteria listed above will have their application packets reviewed by the selection committee.
